The Knitster: Elbow Patches

The Knitster: Elbow Patches

Recently I received a review copy of The Knitster: 20 Patterns for Hip Knitters, which comes out next week. If you’re knitting for a hipster man (or are a male knitter), this might be the book for you. Although many of the patterns are unisex, it definitely has more projects geared towards men than many books. Which makes sense, given that it was written by Robbie Dulaney of Knitxcore. But the book includes plenty of hats and accessories, and even a project for pets, so no one is left out. My favorite project in the book is definitely the elbow patches, which seem like they’d be really fun to personalize with your own favorite colors or pattern and add to a sweater.

The Knitster comes out Oct. 8, 2013, and is published by Hardie Grant Books.

Now that the weather’s really cooling down, I’m looking forward to curling up in my living room with my knitting needles and a hot drink, and this looks like a fun little project to tackle this fall.
