No Words

No Words

dawn
Very early this morning, after staying up all night crying and worrying, I walked to my east-facing window to see if I could see the sun coming up. It wasn’t visible, but somewhere, behind the clouds, it was there, softly brightening the sky.

They say it’s always darkest before the dawn.

I’ve been in unlit caves, underground, where when you turn off your flashlight it is pitch dark. You can’t see your own hand in front of your face. That’s how the world feels right now.

Maybe somehow, something good will come out of this. I can’t imagine what it will be, but that’s the only hope I have left. For now, I can only advise love and kindness to yourself and others.

For me that looks like taking the rest of the week off, to think and plan. I hope you’ll excuse my absence, but I just can’t summon the creative energy to blog right now with a broken heart.

  1. We observed the american election battle as intensive, as we never did before. Nobody could imagine, Trump will make it and we are as shocked, as you are. One more incalculable president is exactly NOT, what we need in this world.
Perhaps it may help you, I read something quiet interesting in the newspaper today. They said, the White House changes the president at least that much, as he changes the White House.
And by the way, sorry for THAT first lady….

    1. Birgit, I’m terrified of ANY changes Trump could make to the White House, and our country. On behalf of this country, I’m sorry for both of them.
