Knit Heart Handwarmers Pattern

Lately I’ve been on a knitting kick, which I’m going to blame entirely on the snowy winter we’ve been having here. Just my luck to move to Boston in an especially harsh year. When it’s cold and wet outside and you don’t need to go out, snuggling in front of a movie with some knitting is a great way to spend an evening. Since my hands tend to get cold when I’m using my computer, in honor of Valentine’s Day I decided to knit up some lacy heart handwarmers.

They’re knit flat with hearts on both sides, so when they’re seamed up they’re interchangeable. I used a skein of yarn from my stash for these, but unfortunately I’ve lost the label. I know it’s worsted weight wool, but I don’t know how big the skein was. Judging from other handwarmer patterns, I’m guessing you’ll need about 100 yards.

With Valentine’s Day coming up, you have no excuse not to knit a friend (or yourself!) a pair.
