How often do you wear jeans and a t-shirt, and how do you dress it up?

I rarely post outfit photos of myself in jeans and a tee, but there’s something to be said for this timeless look. It’s practically the American uniform, though it’s definitely easy to slip from “chic” to “slob” with the wrong pieces. I think that the military coat makes the look a little bit trendy, and it protects me from the rain we’ve been having lately. I’m not sure how I lived without this thing, because I wear it practically daily. It was $20 on the clearance rack at Urban Outfitters, and it was definitely money well spent. What I love about this look the most, though, is that you can see my bird peaking out from the back of my shirt. It makes me want to buy more scoop-necks (and yearn for the days of tanktops that are hopefully coming up soon).

Everything is thrifted or secondhand, except for the coat, which is from Urban Outfitters.
