New York Minute

New York Minute

This weekend we went to NYC again to see friends, especially the one who is going to be our wedding officiant. We’ve known her ever since we all lived in Portland at the same time, but we moved to San Francisco and then she moved to New York a couple of years ago, so it’s been a long time since we were near enough to easily visit. The proximity to NYC really is the best thing about living in Boston.

On previous visits to NYC we had briefly visiting Central Park, but one of those trips was during winter, and we had never really walked through the park in nice weather. So we decided to do just that. We stumbled across this pretty rustic gazebo and stopped to rest in the shade.

The whole city was in a celebratory mood, because as you’ve probably heard, on Friday New York legalized gay marriage! Even some of the shop windows expressed joy over the civil rights advancement.

Hooray for marriage equality!
