Since I’ve been running an Etsy shop, I’ve become much more aware of holidays and celebrations. Especially the kinds that require gifts. Of course there’s Christmas, but beyond that there are weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, and, coming right up, Valentine’s Day. Last year I made downloadable space cards, but didn’t do anything for my shop. This year, though, I came up with some really fun packaging for my space scarves and pocket squares.
For the pocket squares, I made special Valentine’s Day wrappers. On the back they say, “Pillars of Creation,” and have care instructions. They’re made of vellum paper, which is slightly translucent and stiff.
I ship my scarves in small (100% recycled) cardboard boxes. For Valentine’s Day, I adapted the pocket square labels to wrap around the boxes.
I have to say, I quite enjoyed designing the packaging, and I’m really happy with how it turned out.
Are you doing anything special for Valentine’s Day?
This is amazing! I love how the two tie together. I dont think I’ve thought about gifting a present that tied together with valentines day. Thanks for the inspiration!
