Guys, in the US it’s National Donut Day, and it’s not too late to whip up a batch! Even if you don’t live here, you can still celebrate this important holiday.
Have you ever made your own donuts? I try to avoid fried foods, which is why most of these recipes are baked. You’ll need a few donut pans, though. I have a standard donut pan and a mini size one. I don’t use them often, but when I do, they’re totally worth it.
Pinterest recently introduced the ability to search your own pins, so now I can see exactly how many donut recipes I’ve pinned. Here are a few of them…
Last fall I made these baked apple cider donuts.
Just look at these cat donuts from My Paper Crane. Do I really need to say anything else? I wish I knew my cats’ birthdays so I could throw them birthday parties and serve these. Ridiculous, I know.
These may look like your standard chocolate donuts with sprinkles, but they’re actually vegan. They’re made with weird things like garbanzo beans, and almond milk, but I bet they’re still delicious. From Cheeky Kitchen.
I’ve also made these baked gingerbread mini donuts from Pinch of Yum, which were really good.
Ever had grapefruit in a donut? Neither have I. But I’d definitely try these grapefruit donuts from A Beautiful Mess.
These chocolate donuts with salted caramel icing look incredibly decadent, don’t they? From Table for Two.
I’m intrigued by the idea of these baked green tea donuts from A Beautiful Mess.
Well, what are you waiting for? Get off the internet and go bake up a batch of donuts! (And send me one.)
