Happy Friday! I’m in a much better place this week than I was last Friday. The nearby forest fires are a lot more contained, and the smoke in Portland has cleared up for now. There are still plenty of things to worry about, but I’ve been vigilant about doing yoga this week to help me cope. Studies have shown that yoga has a positive effect on mood and anxiety, and I always feel good after I do it, so I figured it was worth a try. At the very least, I spend an hour just concentrating on the poses, and not worrying about anything else, so that’s definitely good for me. I know I’m far from the only one feeling stressed out right now, so if you need some self-care, you might consider yoga.
Might have to give these (vegan) chocolate cinnamon rolls a try this weekend.
Really enjoyed this essay about whether artists should be political.
Oh my gosh, these terrarium cakes are insanely good.
What a pretty mortar-and-pestle upgrade.
Love this chic polymer clay DIY shelf decor.
If I ever won the lottery (hard when you don’t buy tickets…), I’d convert an old church like this amazing home in London.
Tea-infused candles sound perfect for this time of year.
I’ve been heartbroken to hear of the terrifying fires in Oregon. I’m sending healing energy to the PNW from my yoga mat here on the east coast! Lots of love and healing to the people and landscapes impacted by this tragedy.
Phillylass, that’s so kind, thank you!
