Reading The Sparkle Factory re-inspired me to tackle the collage necklace I’d been meaning to make. So I dug up some of my vintage jewelry stash and went for it. I played around with the pieces until I figured out a design I liked, and then I disassembled the vintage earrings I had chosen, and reassembled them into a necklace. It sounds straightforward, but in reality it involved a lot of fiddling with the components to get them to hang properly. And I’m still not sure if I’m quite done with it. If I can find something that fits in the center of the red circles I may end up adding more. But overall I’m quite happy with how it turned out!

This is really cool! Love the idea of mixing components. Did you have to drill a hole in the bug?
Erin, thanks! Nope, I didn’t have to drill the bug, as it already had a hole from its former life as an earring.
This is amazing! Can’t wait to dig thru my jewelry and try it!
