Are you a procrastinator when it comes to gifts? I definitely am, because I build up so much pressure to find the perfect thing for everyone on my list. If you’re still trying to finish off your gift shopping, you might want to try some of these unique DIY projects for stuff you can’t buy in a store. There’s still plenty of time to get your craft on, so get busy!
Rose bath salts – Bathing in a rose garden sounds amazing right now, but if rose isn’t a natural fit for you, how about these Christmas tree-scented bath salts, instead?
Beard balm – This is a staple for my husband as a hair and beard pomade, and I made some for a friend, who also loves it.
Black concrete tray – This concrete tray might be perfect for the minimalists in your life.
Lump of coal soap – Know someone who’s been a bit naughty this year? Perhaps they deserve a lump of coal soap in their stocking.
Reversible wood and marble serving board – I feel like this would be a perfect host/hostess gift, or maybe for your parents? It’s so easy to make that you can give one to everybody.
Brass monstera plant leaf earrings – This one’s for your plant ladies! If you want to mix it up, this hand version would also be good for your artsy ladies.
Feminist candles – Sure, you could make your own candles, or you could take a shortcut and replace the labels on store-bought candles with these feminist versions. Your secret is safe with me.
Earbud holders – Give the gift of detangled earbuds. This easy, practical project would make a great little stocking stuffer.
Concrete ring cones – This DIY gift is sure to have the recipients exclaiming, “You made this??” in disbelief.
Gemstone soap rocks – A big batch of these soap rocks could take care of a lot of the giftees on your list.
If none of these DIY gifts quite do the trick for you, I have tons more projects in my DIY archives. And if you need wrapping ideas, try my splatter-painted wrapping paper, stamped wrapping paper, and key ring gift tags.
Have you made any gifts yet this year? What did you make?
