It’s very nearly September, which means back to school, crisp fall weather, and the giant fall fashion issues of magazines. I have to admit that this year, I haven’t been very impressed by the fall fashion I’ve been seeing in print. But it’s easy to forget that the US doesn’t have a monopoly on magazines. There’s a whole big world of magazines out there, although I can’t read most of them. I know you’re not supposed to judge a book by its cover, but many of the international offerings look far more enticing than the made-in-American versions. Here are some of my favorites.
I normally don’t pay much attention to Katy Perry, but I was struck by how incredibly different she looks on these two covers. It’s hard to believe she’s the same person. I definitely prefer the orange L’Officiel version, how about you?
Apparently I’m most drawn to the Russian and Dutch magazines–maybe I’d fit right in there. Have you read any of these? How did you think they compared to the US versions, if you’ve read those?
