Now that the temperatures are dropping I’ve been starting to see some very fashionable looks with faux fur collars (and pops of red!). It’s such a cute look, and it would be pretty easy to make yourself a fur collar and stitch it onto a coat. A couple of years ago I made a tutorial for a faux fur collar, but perhaps it’s time to revisit the subject and make a much larger version (and a prettier tutorial). What do you think?

Of course, if sewing isn’t your cup of tea you could always buy the look. I’m sure as the season goes on they’ll be even more coats and jackets available in this style.

Good you mention fur collars!! I want to make one to wear with my leather jacket or Zara coat.

What are Jackets number 1 and 2 in the buy section. All the links go the same page.
Gigi, sorry! I’ll fix all of the links, but 1 is here: http://bit.ly/Pj0KOI and 2 is here: http://bit.ly/Re9D7W
These are all lovely faux fur collars! I’ve also designed a faux-fur-collared coat. Check it out: http://2flatteryourfigure.blogspot.com/ Scroll down if you visit my weekly blog after Dec 26, 2012.
