A couple of weeks ago I shared some knitting and sewing craft books that would make great gifts, and today I thought I’d round up a few more craft book selections.
Making an Impression – A wonderful book for anyone interested in designing and making her own stamps. If you’re not familiar with Geninne’s Art Blog, it’s a great place to get a sense of the author of this book’s wonderful aesthetic.
Print Workshop – From the artist behind Yellow Owl Workshop, this book would be a great gift for an aspiring printmaker. I’ve wanted it since it came out, and a couple of weeks ago I finally caved and picked up a copy. I’m so glad I did, because I found it really inspiring. In an encouraging tone, it covers a range of beautiful hand-printing projects and techniques.
(The above two books would be perfect bundled with a Speedball Stamp Making Kit.)
You Are Awesome: 21 Crafts to Make You Happy – Just as the title describes, this book is filled with quirky projects designed to make you happy.
Stitched Gifts – If you’ve got a stitcher in your life who isn’t into traditional patterns, she might appreciate the modern designs and techniques in this fun embroidery book.
Filled with furniture, home decor, and decorating projects, these books (all from bloggers!) would make perfect gifts for someone who has moved into a new home this year and is ready to tackle some DIY projects.
