This post got me thinking about the difference between vintage and just plain old. Vintage has a much better ring to it. If someone asks you where you got a dress that’s from the 1950s, you’re going to say, “Oh this? It’s vintage!” and not “It’s old!” According to Etsy, for something to qualify as vintage, it has to be at least 20 years old, and that seems about right to me. Which is why my skirt and necklace are old, but this t-shirt that I’ve had so long I don’t even remember where I got it? It’s vintage, of course.
