Weekend Inspiration

Weekend Inspiration

Happy Friday, friends! I’ve missed blogging, and now that Juniper is getting older and napping a lot more, I am hoping to be able to do it more regularly. For real this time! My brain is percolating with new ideas for stuff to share, so hopefully I’ll be able to carve out the time to get back to blogging. In the meantime, here’s a little bit of Friday inspiration I found around the web.

Photo from my Instagram.

One of my favorite plant accounts on Instagram is @that_one_plant_guy. While he doesn’t boast the follower numbers or luscious indoor jungle photos of some accounts, he is a plant horticulturalist who shares really practical explanations about how and why plants need the care they do. If you want to really nerd out about plants, he’s your guy!

Are you thinking about Christmas yet? Everyone on social media seems to be, so I already have Christmas decor on my mind, too. These are some of my favorite DIY ornaments I’ve seen lately.

They’re not Christmas-y, but I’m getting a major craving for these (vegan) lemon poppy seed sugar cookies. Who else is tempted to bake up a batch this weekend?

This DIY hanging laundry rack/clothes airer looks so much like the version that costs several times as much. I definitely need to make one when my basement laundry room gets a long-overdue makeover. Or sooner.

Can’t believe this amazing bed is from Home Depot. Pretty sure I’ve seen a duplicate at Anthropologie.

Speaking of Anthropologie, this weekend they’re having a 40%-off sale on the stuff that’s already on sale. This chair looks like it would be perfect for snuggling in this winter. And I think I could definitely rock this dress with tights and boots in the next few months.

This DIY belted bench is making me wish I needed another bench in my life.

  1. Such good things you have found! That drying rack, that bed! I have Christmas on the brain and have been thinking color schemes…I think I have my husband ready for a pastel Christmas this year to go with our vintage ornaments! Love seeing you posting!

    1. Ooh, can’t wait to see your vintage pastel Christmas on Instagram, Tammy! That sounds like it’ll be beautiful.
      Thanks for the encouragement!
