They’ve hardly appeared on the blog, so it may come as a surprise that I wear glasses daily, and have since I’ve been about 11. But you’ll rarely find me outside the house in my glasses, because I usually wear contact lenses from the morning until I go to bed. One of the big reasons is that my eyes seem to be pretty sensitive to light, and I end up squinting a lot if I can’t wear sunglasses (yes, even in cloudy weather). I’ve thought about getting prescription sunglasses, but they’re generally expensive and/or unattractive. So I was excited to hear about Warby Parker’s new sunglasses collection, Spectrum Sun.
The Piper and Hall, both in Woodland Tortoise, are my favorites, though the Dean, in English Oak, looks really cool, too. For every pair of glasses they sell, Warby Parker gives away a pair to someone in need, so I definitely want to try out their frames to see if any work for me. Maybe someday soon you’ll even see me in my glasses on the blog.
