The recipe I adapted this from called it a Leland Palmer, which, as a Twin Peaks fan, I definitely appreciate. Whatever you call it, though, it’s a delicious spin on the classic Arnold Palmer drink with lemonade and iced tea. This refreshing version features grapefruit, and green tea instead of regular iced tea. I used fancy green tea with flowers and lemon, but I bet jasmine tea would be really good, too. I have a feeling I’m going to be drinking a lot of these this summer!
Grapefruit Arnold Palmer
Makes 1 drink.
1 bag green tea
4 oz water
2 oz fresh lemon juice
2 oz grapefruit juice
2 Tbsp honey
2 oz gin
ice
Bring water to a boil and pour over tea bag. Steep according to the directions on your tea (generally 3-5 minutes), then remove tea bag. Add honey to the hot tea, and stir to dissolve. Set aside to cool, in the refrigerator or freezer if you’re in a hurry. While the tea is cooling, juice lemons and grapefruit. Add the lemon and grapefruit juices, gin, and sweetened tea to a glass with several ice cubes. Stir and garnish with a lemon slice.
