When I was a little kid, I had very definite ideas about what I wanted to wear, and they did not include dresses or skirts. On special occasions my parents would force me to wear a dress, and I would always put up a fight. I also thought it was important that things matched perfectly. Like, if I was wearing blue, all of the blues needed to be pretty close in shade. I have no idea where I got such stringent ideas about colors, but I definitely wouldn’t have been caught dead mixing different shades of pink. Obviously a lot has changed.
