This weekend I got busy with some of my leather scraps and whipped up these keychains. They’re unisex and pretty classic, so I think they’d make great little gifts, perhaps for someone heading off to school this fall. Or just make a set for yourself to help you keep track of your keys.
Sunday Street Style
This week it was tough to pick only six street-style favorites from the blogs I follow, so there’s a lot of great overflow that ended up on my Street Style board. Links I Like
1. These wood earrings are a fun little project. 2. DIY herbal shampoo is an intriguing idea. Would you try it? 3. I’d love to sew a pair of these sweet shorts. 4. You can knot/weave your own rope hammock. It’s like a giant macrame project! 5. Make your own clever faux-vintage posters. 6. Sew […]
Will you do me a favor?
Hey friends! Can I ask you for a little favor? Whimseybox and Craftgawker are currently running a contest to turn one blogger’s project into a kit. The finalists are the projects with the most “favorites” on Craftgawker before the end of July. I’ve submitted a couple of projects within the contest period, and I would […]
Blackberry Mojito Cocktail
So far I’ve made blackberry ginger bars, sangria, and now these blackberry mojitos, and I’ve still got tons of blackberries to spare. I’m checking out a bunch of these recipes and trying to figure out what to make next, but in the meantime, I’ll be sipping on one of these refreshing cocktails.
DIY Studded Barrette Tutorial
Make an easy candy-colored studded barrette for a great shot of color in your spring and summer outfits. Spraypaint these days comes in tons of fun colors, so you can make these in any color you like.
Outfit Post: Easy Pieces
These days I’m all about simplicity. It’s too hot to wear layers, so one or two pieces is all I need. Either a dress, or a skirt and top will do the trick. Throw my hair up, add a (handmade) accessory or two, and I’m good to go. The ease of dressing is one of […]
Blackberry Ginger Bars

This Weekend
I was busy this weekend! I built myself a workbench in the garage out of free pallet wood. Then I made a new pair of earrings on that workbench. It turns out it’s waaaay more comfortable to work there than the stump I had previously been using as a surface. Who would have guessed? I […]
